Gingerbread smells like coming in from the cold, cheeks flushed, and being greeted by the gentle sweetness of cookies and warm milk. Crystallized ginger and cinnamon rise first, bright and comforting, like the first swirl of spice in the air instead of a sharp snap.

As the candle settles into its burn, cardamom, nutmeg, and clove unfold slowly, layering in that classic holiday spice blend, but softened, like dough rolled just right and spices folded into cream. Beneath it all, vanilla sugar, brown butter, and warm frothed milk anchor the scent in a cozy, bakery-meets-café base: golden cookies cooling on the rack, a mug of milk frothed to velvety warmth, and the anticipation of that first bite and sip.

It's gingerbread, but gentler and more refined: less “gingersnap crunch,” more “pillowy cookie and milky comfort you never get tired of.”

I wanted to create a candle for the moments that make the holidays feel like home. So I made Gingerbread. It's inspired by the simple magic of baking days: flour on the counter, spices lined up within reach, cookie cutters clinking softly, and a pot of milk warming on the stove to turn into hot cocoa or a frothy nightcap. There is always music playing, something in the oven, and someone hovering nearby “just to see if they’re done yet.”

I wanted this candle to capture that familiar comfort with a little extra softness. It's the scent of cookies baking while snow falls outside, of stockings already hung and gifts halfway wrapped, of kids sneaking into the kitchen to dip a cookie into a glass of milk they can barely carry. The warm frothed milk note adds that gentle, creamy hum underneath the spices, like the quiet warmth that lingers after everyone has had their fill of sweets and stories.

For the best burn and strongest scent, let the wax melt fully to the edges on the first burn. This helps prevent tunneling and keeps your candle burning evenly.

Trim your wick to about 1/4 inch before each use to keep the flame clean and steady.

Burn for 1 to 2 hours at a time and keep away from drafts or fans.

Stop burning when about 1/2 inch of wax remains, or glass may shatter.
