Toasted smells like pulling your chair a little closer to the fire, marshmallow-laden skewer in hand, watching the edges of the sugar bubble and bronze. The first impression is lightly toasted marshmallow, soft, sweet, and just kissed by smoke. Like the exact point between “perfectly golden” and “oops, now it's on fire!”

As the candle burns, creamy vanilla bean and whipped sugar begin to bloom, turning the air velvety and decadent, like someone just stirred warm vanilla cream into the night. Beneath that sweetness, smoldering cedarwood, subtle charred woods, and warm amber anchor the scent, giving it a deeper, fireside base that keeps it from ever becoming too sugary. Sweet meets smoky in the most elevated way: think campfire nostalgia, but dressed in your favourite knit.

One of my favourite things to do during the summer and fall, is have a bon fire.

During summer it's usually accompanied by hot dogs, coolers full of cold drinks, and long talks that go way too late into the night.

In the fall it cools off, and now those fires are done in thick sweaters and cozy blankets, while scary stories are being told.

The one thing they have in common, are the marshmallows that get roasted over the fire, and you can smell the sweetness mixing with the smoke coming off of the burning wood.

I wanted to capture those late nights in a candle that would keep the memories forever.

I didn’t want it to feel overly sweet or artificial. And I didn’t want the smoke to take over either.

It took time to find the right scent. One that balanced sweet and smokey in a way that felt so real you could swear you were sitting in front of a smolder fire.

Because Toasted isn’t about intensity. It’s about reliving those quiet nights spent with friends or family, sitting in camp chairs around a glowing fire pit.

Get the most out of your Toasted candle with a few simple habits that keep everything performing beautifully.

Trim your wick to about 1/4 inch before each burn.

Allow the wax to fully melt to the edges on the first burn to prevent tunneling.

Burn for 2 to 4 hours at a time.

Keep away from drafts to maintain a steady flame.

Always place your candle on a tray, candle holder, or heat resistant surface to protect your space.

Stop burning when about 1/2 inch of wax remains.
