Advent Calendars have been a tradition for a couple of centuries. The tradition started with German Protestants in the early nineteenth century burning a candle each day leading up to Christmas. Nowadays we have gotten a lot more creative with counting down to the most magical day of the year. You may have grown up with a homemade advent calendar with numbered pockets, waking up each day to a new chocolate. To keep that nostalgia and excitement, you may be interested in getting your own advent calendar with surprise gifts for each day. We are very excited to announce that we have come up with our very own Ebony & Ivory Candle Co. advent calendar, filled with twelve incredible surprises that we are sure you will love. This advent calendar will hopefully be released sometime in October, and though we can’t tell you what’s in the surprises (trust us it’s really hard to keep the surprise) we can give you a little teaser so you can get just as excited as us.
So obviously, we are a scented candle company, so you can expect that these surprises will have something to do with candles and fragrances. Something unique about this advent calendar is that there are two (yes, two) exclusive scents that we have never released before. They will only be available through the advent calendars, so if you want one, you are going to have to get one. One of these scents was designed by us to smell specifically like you are gathered with your family by the fireplace on Christmas Eve. The other is a scent like no other with a warm spice, making this scent a little sensual.
We also have some gifts that you wouldn’t expect from a candle company, but it also makes so much sense. It may or may not be edible too. All of the items were selected to be of good quality and also useful so it doesn’t go to waste. We are sure that with every morning when you get to open your little gift, you will be beaming with excitement. There are twelve gifts total, and it's up to you when you want to start opening them. You can start opening them on the 1st of December and open them on the next twelve days, you could start on the 13th of December and have the countdown end on the 24th, or start on the 14th and have it end on Christmas Day. It really doesn’t matter when you start the calendar and it doesn’t matter if you even celebrate Christmas, you can still enjoy the gifts in each box.
We hope that you are just as excited for these advent calendars as we do. We know that you will fall absolutely in love with these. They will be released online and in stores sometime in October. There is limited supply so you will want to get your sooner rather than waiting until November 30th.
